About the Ball: An Officially-stamped, Selig regular season Rawlings game ball, only this one has red and blue laces. The logo is NOT commemorative, it's the common MLB emblem found on all regular game balls.

This ball was likely a promo or specially made item for the Chicago Cubs, and we doubt it was ever made for game use.

We've seen them sold signed only, by Cubs players, including Hall of Famer Ernie Banks. Some sellers have noted that they "won" the ball at Cubs games as a prize.

This exact ball was signed by Moises Alou, who played for the Cubbies for 3 seasons, 2002-2004. That should help date them. Not sure if they continue to use these ball to give away to fans.
