About the Ball: This is a prototype ball, apparently the Major League's must have requested Spalding to make and possibly test orange baseballs. There are several versions with official stamping. Although this does not have any Official MLB League stamps, it's included as additional evidence of MLB at least considering the use of Orange Game Balls, possibly for night games in the 1970s.
