About the Ball: The 2000 All-Star baseball, like any Official All-Star Game Ball since 1992, should be stiched with two different colored laces. Blue and Red laces in this case. But here's a rare version with all red laces, like a regular game ball.

All printing remains the same as the real 2000 All-Star ball. It's been noted by some dealers that Rawlings produced as many as three different years of All-Star Balls this way, but this is currently the only example on Big League Baseballs. Do you have another?

Perhaps this was done intentionally for use as batting practice balls at the game and during its other events. Or it's plausible there were misprints or stamp test runs on regular balls that found their way into circulation.
