About the Ball: A recently discovered version of the 1984 Olympic ball. This one bears the facsimile stamped signature of then MLB Baseball Commissioner Peter Ueberroth.

It is unknown if this version was ever used in game play, or if it's just another official souvenir version. Two other version exist and can be found in this gallery of the Museum. Some sources say the official game version carries the Haiti stamp - found on the reverse of this ball - and that the game version, like this, is stamped "The Game Ball" on the league panel as opposed to the "Official Ball" version. Pretty confusing and really just unnecessary to have the souvenir and official versions so close in stamping.

More speculation: It is possible there is a 4th version out there - possibly a practice version used by non-U.S. teams. For additional evidence - We've seen supposed "Game-Used" versions sold by autograph dealers - all of those contained a "Haiti" stamp on the reverse.
