About the Ball: The Official Reach American League Game Ball from 1931-1943, AL President William Harridge stamped. Note that this is the version with the RED president's stamp, as opposed to the blue stamped version from the same time period.

This is the final red and blue laced American League Ball. The league switch to all red laces for the 1935 season. Often considered rarer than most varieties of previous Reach AL Ban Johnson baseballs.

We have yet to learn whether the red stamp bears any significance, or if it's more scarce than the blue counterpart. It has been theorized that the alternate stamp colors bear little significance. Red signature stamps on AL and NL balls can be found for several other presidents from prior years.

TEXT: The top panel features the Reach logo, which includes "MADE IN USA" AND "REG. U.S. PAT. OFF." around the top and bottom of the outer circle.  "THE SIGN OF QUALITY" inside the band and "TRADE MARK" in the inner circle with the company "REACH" centered in the middle.

The league panel includes: "OFFICIAL" "American League Ball" and "PAT'D RE. 17200"

The Lower Panel reads: "WARRANTED" in print, "The Cushioned Cork Center" in a currsive font and the regulated size and weight of "9 IN. 5OZ."

This particular ball is signed by 10 players from the era, but displays excellent stamping and overall good condition.
