About the Ball: American League MacPhail baseball, 1984. No dots under Haiti stamp. Believed to be the last version of MacPhail baseballs used. Questions remain as to the end of the dotted dating system on AL and NL balls.
In the National League, the dots apparently continued until 1986, until Feeney left office. But in the AL, Brown replaced MacPhail in 1984, but we have not seen a Brown baseball with the dots.
